Out Of The Blue (Zach)

4 Feb

100wcgu-72This short story is entered into 100WC (a short story competition inviting young writers to create a 100 word piece following on from the weekly prompt issued). This week’s prompt: Out of the blue…

In the beginning:
Boom! Bang! In the beginning, out of the blue, a world was born!Flash! Crash! Zap! Animals, fish and people mysteriously appeared. As a puzzled Adam and Eve gazed enchantingly at one another a heard of goats and sheep ran down the hill and into the horizon, birds soared. Bewildered as they were Adam gently said “Hello Madam, my name is Adam”. Adam waited anxiously for her reply but Eve walked silently to him and kissed her softly on her cheek. Then she sung “My personality is as colourful as these leaves, and my name, sir, is Eve”.

Zach- I love the originality of this one- and the rhyming. You’ve got a uniquely modern style mixed with an ancient story- winning combo!
